Schools

The South American Bird Fair includes work with children and schools, being aware of the importance of working with them for the conservation and protection of biodiversity.

To that effect we have included a Symposium on Education and Birds that gathers teachers who will discuss their theories and experiences with projects connected with birds and their environment. At the Fair there is also a stand where all teachers are able to present their materials and productions, promote their projects and perform activities (everything free of charge). For this purpose it is necessary to contact the organizers first.
In this way the Fair present a common meeting ground for reflection and public debate.

Participants
This Symposium will be open to all those people interested or connected with education in general.

Symposium speakers
The organizing committee has opened registration for those who wish to present their experiences and who will be selected to make up the sym- posium.

Participants in the Symposium
- will receive a Participation Certificate
- will be able to register at the Fair free of charge
- Mmay offer leaflets, brochures or any other material of their project

The Educational Projects or Experiences sent must include the following information:

1. Title of proposed exhibit
2. Name of the proponent
3. Theme
4. Aims
5. People responsible
6. Project’s photos (if they exist)
7. Amount of participants

Synthesis of the work performed
All the papers will be received up until 31st August 2011 as top deadline.
Those that are not selected nevertheless may be presented at the Education Stand. The chosen proposals will be announced on 15th September.
